TUESDAY~SWIMMING!
~This week, the children got to choose how they first entered the pool--by jumping in or stepping in down the ladder--and then traveled to the other side of the pool by swimming, creeping along the wall, or walking. We then traveled along the wall down to the deep end. Once there, the children practiced kicking and also did the "submarine". The last 10 minutes of class, the children enjoyed some "free time".
WEDNESDAY~DISCOVERY
~After reading the story, Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf, we went on a leaf hunt to collect leaves! When we returned to the classroom, we sorted the leaves by color.
THURSDAY~DRAMA
In today's Drama class, Mrs. Bateman read the story, Let's Go Visiting. The story is filled with animal characters. The children practiced the role of the various animals and discussed why they liked and/or didn't like being certain characters.
FRIDAY~TECHNOLOGY
Today for Technology, we explored on the SmartBoard! We played a Rhyming Game and took turns pulling the rhyming pictures under the correct picture that rhymes with it. We also explored with the writing tools for the SmartBoard. We got to take turns picking what color we wanted to draw with and we drew our favorite shapes on the board.
