Our Discovery Activity today involved M& M candies and Skittles candies. Using a small amount of water in a clear cup, children chose 2 different primary colors of candy to put into the water. Before adding the candy to the water, we made predictions about what would happen. As they dropped the candy into the water, the children observed the color coating on the candy coming off and turned the water the color of the candy. We then gave each partner group a spoon and they stirred the water, mixing the 2 different primary colors, and observed a third color appear.
